Retirement Living and Aged Care both provide accommodation services to ageing people, but their services differ depending on their residents' care needs and stage of life.
A retirement village offers accommodation, lifestyle amenities and services to over 55’s looking for independent living options when downsizing or retiring. Residents of retirement living communities benefit from engaging environments that suit their changing needs.
Aged Care homes provide a safe and secure place for people who require 24-hour support. A team of nurses, care workers, therapists and other health professionals provide high-quality care. You may be eligible for Aged Care funding to access these services. To determine what level of funding you are eligible for, you will need to complete an assessment through the Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
Retirement Living allows you to downsize whilst living safely, independently and in the company of like-minded people. People who not only share similar interests but who will expose you to new experiences and opportunities. You can free yourself from daily chores like home and garden maintenance and take advantage of your newly discovered freedom. Whatever lifestyle you choose, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your new community of neighbours and friends are looking out for you.
If you’re still uncertain, you can get in touch with our friendly team who will help with any concerns you have.
