You require an assessment to find out if you can access government-funded aged care services. Bethanie can help you arrange a free referral, or you can register with My Aged Care. When you receive your support plan and assessment it will explain what services you are entitled to.
We will require a Bethanie Application Form to be completed. This provides us with the information we need to progress your entry.

Depending on your individual circumstances, you may be eligible for government funding. To find out what level of funding you are eligible for, you will need to complete an assessment through the Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) . Bethanie can help you arrange a free referral, or you can register with My Aged Care .
We also require a Bethanie Application Form be completed. This provides us with the information we need to progress your entry.
Each home has a waitlist and residents are admitted based on a variety of factors including their needs and the capabilities of the home at that time.
If you need immediate aged care support, contact us and we can help point you in the right direction. You may also be able to access home care packages that will support you living at home in the meantime.
You may be eligible for aged care funding to access these aged care services. To determine what level of funding you qualify for, you will need to complete an assessment through the Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
How much you pay depends on your circumstances. In most cases, the Commonwealth Government covers most of the cost.
You may need to pay the following:
- A Basic Daily Care Fee,
- An Accommodation Payment,
- A Means Tested Care Fee – annual and lifetime caps apply,
- Extra Service, or Additional Service Fees (where applicable).
Depending on your individual circumstances, you may need to make an Accommodation payment. The RAD and the DAP are the two ways you can choose to pay this. The Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) is a lump sum payment which is fully refundable when the room is vacated. The Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is a daily payment which is not refundable. You may also pay a combination of RAD and DAP. For example, part lump sum payment and part daily payment.
For comfortable living at our residential Aged Care homes, each room comes fully equipped. To help you personalise your space and feel comfortable, you are welcome to bring in your own personal items. For example, photos, ornaments and blankets are great items to make you feel at home. Larger items are welcome if they do not present a safety issue. If you have any specific queries about personal belongings, we’re happy to discuss them with you prior to admission.
